The president of the Union of Jezzin Municipalities Mr Khalil Harfoush started the implementation of the plan that was prepared previously by the Union of Jezzin Municipalities for the first six months of the year 2011, which includes development ,administrative, environmental, cultural projects and other. This shows the volume of activity and ambition and dynamism of the president.
He started to prepare the study for the establishment of laboratory wastes, and at the level of sports activities, the Union intended to organize sports tournaments in various district villages; which is very important in order to attract youth and encourage them to healthy and psychological activities instead of distracting them with bad activities.
Given the importance of tourism in this great district, this vital sector wasn’t immune of the Union plan, as there’ll be a comprehensive tourist survey to the district in preparation of a touristic map that includes all restaurants, hotels, with the touristic places identified, as well as forest roads that can be a good place for jogging. This step comes from environmental tourism, which is a factor that constitutes a great attraction for tourists. Lebanon, including his beautiful areas like Jezzin, is a suitable place for environmental tourism having nowadays traditional tourism available in every part of the world.
